These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of the Sekata website and your participation in any Sekata community movement sessions. Please read them carefully. By using the website or registering for a session, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Definitions
- "Sekata" / "we" / "us" / "our" — Sekata, a community movement group operating from Persiaran Perdana 3, 62000 Putrajaya, Malaysia.
- "User" / "you" — any individual who visits this website, submits an enquiry, or participates in a Sekata session.
- "Session" — any drop-in session, weekly coaching series, or membership event organised by Sekata.
- "Membership" — the Community Membership product providing year-round access to regular sessions, seasonal gatherings, and the online community space.
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or registering for any Sekata session, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of Malaysia. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or register for sessions.
3. Service Description
Sekata provides community group movement sessions in Putrajaya, Malaysia. Sessions are offered for general information and community wellbeing purposes only. We do not provide regulated professional services of any kind. The three session formats are:
- Community Movement Drop-In — a single session (RM 450)
- Weekly Together Coaching — a series of regular small-group meetings (RM 1,700)
- Community Membership — an ongoing year-round membership (RM 3,900)
Sessions are currently available to residents of and visitors to Putrajaya and surrounding areas in Malaysia.
4. User Responsibilities
As a participant, you agree to:
- Treat other participants and Sekata staff with respect at all times
- Disclose any relevant personal limitations that may affect your participation before attending a session
- Behave in a manner consistent with the community-centred, inclusive atmosphere Sekata maintains
- Not record other participants without their explicit consent
- Not use the Sekata online community space to share content that is offensive, misleading, or harmful
Sekata reserves the right to remove participants from sessions or membership for behaviour that is disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with these terms.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, design elements, and session materials — belongs to Sekata. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any content without written permission. Tip sheets and other materials provided during sessions are for your personal, non-commercial use only.
6. Payment Terms
- All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and inclusive of any applicable taxes.
- Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Drop-in sessions are non-refundable within 48 hours of the session start time.
- Weekly coaching series: cancellations made more than 7 days before the first session are eligible for a full refund. After that, a 50% refund applies.
- Membership fees are non-refundable after the first session has been attended.
- Sekata reserves the right to modify pricing. Existing bookings will not be affected by price changes.
7. Session Attendance and Conduct
- Sekata may cancel or reschedule sessions due to insufficient numbers, venue unavailability, or circumstances beyond our control. We will notify participants as soon as possible.
- In the event of a Sekata-initiated cancellation, a full refund or reschedule will be offered.
- Participants who arrive significantly late may not be able to join a session in progress at the coordinator's discretion.
8. Disclaimers
Sekata sessions are general community movement activities provided for social and informational purposes. Nothing in our sessions constitutes regulated advice of any kind. Participants are responsible for their own personal wellbeing during sessions. Sekata does not make any representations about outcomes from participation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Malaysian law, Sekata's total liability to any participant for any claim arising from participation in sessions or use of this website is limited to the amount paid by that participant for the specific session in question. Sekata will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Force majeure events — including weather, venue closures, or public health emergencies — excuse Sekata from session delivery obligations.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Sekata harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of this Agreement or your conduct during sessions.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time. Sekata may terminate access to sessions or membership where a participant has breached these terms. On termination, any clauses intended to survive (disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
12. Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes should first be raised directly with Sekata at [email protected]. We aim to resolve all disputes informally within 30 days. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Putrajaya, Malaysia.
13. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: This Agreement, together with our Privacy and Cookie Policy, constitutes the full agreement between you and Sekata regarding sessions and website use.
- Severability: If any clause is found unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any clause does not constitute a waiver of that clause.
- Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under this Agreement. Sekata may transfer rights in connection with a business reorganisation.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the website or participation in sessions after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
